Barcelona forward Lionel Messi said he had moved closer to his "dream" of "finishing my career at home" after signing a new contract, with the buyout clause raised to 700m euros (£626m). Messi's new deal will expire after the 2020-21 campaign. The 30-year-old had one year remaining on his old contract. Kanchanpur chief election officer recommends action against EU representatives Nov 22, 2017-Chief election officer of Kanchanpur district and justice Rajendra Kumar Acharya has written a letter to Election Commission (EC), urging to forbid the European Union (EU) representatives from observing elections in the district. Chief election officer Acharya said he wrote a letter on Tuesday recommending the EC to stop EU representatives from observing elections in all three election constituencies of the district as they were found being involved in activities against the election code of conduct.
